Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she learned the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Lennox lived on an allowance for students and went on part-time employment to augment her income. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance in comparison to her fellow students and contemplated a possible alternative path she might follow. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. However, she left before her band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist in The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. After that, Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva that was released in 1992. The album was hugely successful both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album was launched in October 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is composed of Lennox's favorite blues, jazz and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera is a collection of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. Her first album"Now I Letting You Go... It is the soundtrack to her exhibit of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954, in Scotland, is a philanthropist as well as a political activist. Following a modest successes as a part of the band called The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the pop duo Eurythmics in the 1980s. In 1992 Lennox began her solo career with her debut album Diva with a variety of successful tracks, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album, which was which was released in 1995, features versions of some of her most popular songs including the No MoreI Always Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Six solo studio albums, plus one compilation album, are to her credit.
